I've installed (and uninstalled and reinstalled) the android application on my Droid Incredible. It isn't available in the list of search sources in my search settings, and isn't available as a widget.

Hi,

To double check. Can you please:

1) hit magnifying glass button

2) tap the google g icon that has an arrow pointing down

3) tap in the top right of that box the little settings looking thing

that should bring you to an list entitled: "Searchable Items"

in there you should see DuckDuckGo

It's not there. It is also absent from the menu -> Search Settings -> Searchable items list

at second glance, via the menu is the only way to get to the searchable items list. There's no link to the settings in the dropdown from the Google menu. What version(s) of Android have you confirmed it's working on? (Incredible is 2.2)

you don't see a button at all in the top right corner after tapping the blue G?

this works on my 2.2 G2 and 2.3 Nexus S

No, when I click the blue logo it opens bubble with a bunch of search sources, most from apps I've installed, but not ddg. The button you're speaking of might be part of stock Android that HTC Sense UI didn't use? But I can get to the menu you're talking about through the settings -- like I said, though, DDG isn't among the available options.

Any luck looking into this? I'd really like to be able to use duckduck go from within the android search -- having to launch the app standalone isn't really any more useful than just launching my browser with ddg as the home page.
