agreed. I would love this! It would be fun to see what people are searching, but it would be tottally anonymous and private.

Even if it was private, it would still be against "don't track us," and why should yegg waste his time doing pointless things like this, when he could be doing more to improve DDG.

Technically, something like this could be possible to do since DuckDuckGo does collect your searches - just not in a personally-identifiable way:

We also save searches, but again, not in a personally identifiable way, as we do not store IP addresses or unique User agent strings. We use aggregate, non-personal search data to improve things like misspellings.

I know what you mean - releasing user's search history, even in an anonymous form, wouldn't really work with DDG's whole "we don't track you" concept.
