We should be getting it in some form relatively soon, albeit by syndicating other APIs. Granted, there are some images on there now (not image search mind you, but some), and now we have inline videos that play as well (search youtube anything). Finally, with the new drop down the other day, it should be more straightforward to go other image and video search engines as you can just enter your search and select it from the drop down, i.e. from the homepage.

I already have images on there load after the fact, so separation should be OK.

Better yet, it only loads once you click on it. 

Yup, we're trying to stay away from tabs and do something intelligent in the zero-click box when appropriate.

I'm not found of the green either but I don't think the green is the point.

I'll give you that the Image and video buttons could be positioned a little better but I also don't think that is the point.

I believe opc411 is proposing that the image and video search options be placed on the DDG home page.
This is not the first time this has been proposed and I suspect at least 50% of DDG users would like this option.

The big bone of contention has always seemed to be do you put these search options on the DDG home page or somehow allow them from the search results page.

A lot of people including Yegg seem to like the clean look of the home page and do not wish to clutter it up, but all seem to like the idea of an image and video search.

I personally like the idea of these options on the home page but I am willing to concede that I may have to settle for the option on the search results page.

I'm sure Yegg has a concept of where he is going.

The one thing I think we can all agree on is that we want an image and video search as good as the DDG web search.

AND LIKE MOST CHILDREN...WE WANT IT NOW!!

But its just like waiting on Santa Clause, when Christmas morning finally arrives everyone is excited.

I can't wait for the day to arrive when once again Yegg delivers a new sack full of toys.

(a) They can still hide what you searched for to get there.
(b) DDG's web search is awesome (unlike some people, I won't bother parroting the About page; you know what I mean) and I, at least, expect similar of an Image search.

That's what Google Safe Search is for... As you can imagine, it's insanely hard...
