It works, just redirects to DuckDuckGo.com and it's a secure way of searching.

I have never seen it not work or had anyone else report the problem. Are you going directly to http://dukgo.com/ ? https://dukgo.com/ indeed does not work -- is that the issue?

For Firefox:
Just save DDG as a bookmark and tag it with "duck" or whatever word you want to use. Then you won't need to type the long URL. Moreover you can add it to your browser's search engines and give it a keyword like "dd".

No issues with dukgo.com here either. Maybe you're using a redirect blocking plug-in? (like Firefox's Redirect Cleaner)
