This is actually quite prestigious. RD used to claim the greatest circulation and readership in the world. Then they took their table of contents off the cover around 10 years ago and that, or the Internet, was their undoing.
RD's subscription marketing eventually turned them into a lottery. The magazine's merits became a sideshow. That was fine 20 years ago but as lotteries spread across the country, RD's lottery lost it's stature. So did the mag.
