This browser is unstable.It causes crashes and should be avoided if you work with documents that will hurt if the browser causes a crash.

What browser? If you've found a bug in a browser, perhaps you should report to its maintainers.

I thought I heard somewhere that some countries (outside of the U.S.) refer to a search engine as a browser.

So, he/she may be referring to DDG, but I have never had any problems with DDG. More information might be nice.
