DDG should integrate results with openMarkers entries for location. For example: if I search with Google "rolling stones legnano" ("rolling stones" is the name of a pub in Legnano (Italy)) a map is shown with the marker on Google Maps. Similar feature could be added on DDG, don't you? :)
If you type "cinema milano" in Google it lists some shown films, from its section related to cinema. Why don't you add such a similar feature? Also for tv programmation... :)
You know that Ubuntu added Unity interface in order to improve user experience with Linux.
They are adding new lenses to Unity Dash. What is a lens? A lens is a tool which permits to make specific searches, on your pc and on the web (latest lens is abour cook recipes, for example). Why don't you get in contact with Unity Lens Programmers and you create a lens for make searches through DDG or why don't you create your own? In this way you don't have to open a browser in order to search but you can search directly on your pc. What do you think? :)
During last days, Midori changed and if you type something in the urlbar automatically Midori goes to http://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s&t=midori
So, what does it do? Do you receive some infos from it? Do you automatically sort results by browser? Is it possible to have a complete list of all this kind of... don't know how to call them...? :D
Here some query in order to activate 0-click info (things in brackets are "movable": {1} {2} is the same of {2} {1}): 1) treni FIRSTSTATION SECONDSTATION 2) treno {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} 3) treno {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} 4) treno {delle HOUR} {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} → Sometimes HOUR is typed as HH:MM 5) treno {alle HOUR} {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} → Sometimes HOUR is typed as HH:MM 6) treno {del DAY MONTH YEAR} {delle HOUR} {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} → Sometimes HOUR is typed as HH:MM and MONTH is not a number. YEAR should be the same year 7) treno {del DAY MONTH YEAR} {alle HOUR} {da FIRSTSTATION} {per SECONDSTATION} → Sometimes HOUR is typed as HH:MM and MONTH is not a number. YEAR should be the same year When not specified, HOUR, DAY; MONTH and YEAR can be settable through 0-click info
Other suggestions for 0-click infos: If I type a telephone number, it should look for it. Example: If I type +390331463811, 00390331463811 or 0331/463811 DDG should look for this telephone number in the following website: http://www.paginebianche.it (for Italian telephone numbers). Site: http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi?iq=&ver=default&font=default&btt=1&mr=10&rk=&om=&qs=0331463811&dv= (+39 is the Italian code so it shoul be deleted). In this official website there aren't all Italians, because everyone can add or remove their number on the site and on the book, yearly updated. So there's no privacy problems. DDG now thinks that I asked for a sum, which is calculated by WA: http://duckduckgo.com/?q=+390331463811
Hi you all, hi new mods, is it possible to make DDG's 0-click infos localizable? Example: I'm Italian, so in order to check the weather in Rome I should type "weather in Rome" in order to get 0-click info about the weather in Rome. But I'm Italian so I'd type "clima a Roma" or "meteo a Roma" in order to receive infos about it. The same for money conversion, map visualization and many many other things I cannot list right now. Best regards, - Michael
Hi, I was used to googling in order to convert money units (I'm Italian, so I type, for example: "15,6 dollari in euro" (15,6 dollars in euros). Try it!). Is it possible to have this feature in DDG? Thank you
