The idea just came to me...

Can anyone here give a list of cool websites with secure privacy policy as DDG? People usually look for this kind of sites, not just for searching (like DDG) but also:
- Webmail
- Cloud Apps
- Hosts
- HowTo's
- Images
- Media
- Downloads

Would be cool to have a list of this kind of websites, with we could navigate without being tracked or targeted by publicity.

I know that there is a post of it done some months ago and that it's getting old - but - Yegg, WE NEED AN IMAGE SEARCH FOR YESTERDAY!!! Please consider this!!! For DDG - It´s difficult to spread DDG just as a search engine with no images search...I could not even make my wife start to use it!!!

I know this idea may sound a little foward...but...What you guys think about when someone search for geeglo on DDG, the first result should be the CIA or something related to the "Big Brother". Come on! This would be fun!

Hi all DDG,

I am always trying to make people I know to at least take a look at DDG. My wif for instance says all the times while searching (on f***g geeglo): - This think does not search what I want! It's a s**t!!! - and I say: - Try DDG. But she is still using the Big Brother.

As I said in another post before, we really need an Image Search and Document Search!!!! Our basic web search is the best! But people looks alot for pictures nowadays.

I was thinking. DDG is competing with those MF...I am not saying to rip it out completely, but instead, give the user a message like: Could not find what you were looking for? Try one of the other search engine on the right (that already has youtube, etc...).

Doing this current google option right now, DDG is loosing status. It like saying: "We are not so good as them, so as you did not find what you need, they will"

What do you think?

I'm working on the integration of DDG on one of my clients website to do internal and external search. As i said in another topic, the search results will appear inside of a IFRAME, with a padronized CSS to looks like the website layout colours.

The problem is: I'll need some help to do it in a easy way. But if the test goes as i expect, we will have a lot of websites implementing it!!!!

Hi all,

I'm reading all the posts and wonderful ideas. But I would like to give a piece of advice: FOCUS

With that i mean: DDG is a powerful search engine for now. So, let's increase this first, so people will stop to search in other web search engines.

To do that, we need to offer the basic thinks in search everybody needs:
1. Search the web (DONE)
2. Search Images (N/A)
3. Search Movies (N/A)
4. Tools for Web Developers to use and personalize results on their pages and client pages (increase DDG visibility)
5. Show users in one string line the benefits of privacy and security DDG offers

The rest can come latter: Email service, Blog, etc...

It would be very cool if we could put not junt the DDG search on our clients websites, but give the developer and user the option to do a Internal Website Search or a WebSerach. The result's window for the internal search could ahve it´s layout modified and be opened inside a IFRAME or FRAME. Something like this:
