DuckDuckGo in Firefox

We're excited to announce that DuckDuckGo is now included as a pre-installed search option in Firefox! Today is Firefox's 10th anniversary and with it comes a special release that includes DuckDuckGo. The DuckDuckGo and Firefox communities have always had a shared interest in privacy so we're very proud to be included and can't wait to see what we can accomplish!

To use DuckDuckGo in Firefox, simply download the latest version and select us from the search dropdown:

I just installed firefox in my pc, and off course, I set duckduckgo as my defaullt search engine.
But it si not wirking. I make my search and it tells me that "Safe coneection failed".
Then I went to duckdukgo.com, and it didn't load either, and it gave me the same "Safe coneection failed" message.
What is wrong??

DDG is also the default search engine in the Pale Moon browser. http://palemoon.org

I just scrolled down before I submit and see that x.15a2 has mentioned this a few weeks ago. Well, no problem with saying it again I hope..

Glad to have found DuckDuckGo. After my website come up easily on Google for 10 years I found that Google has basically not allowed my site to come up even with specific words...such as my company name! in the city!...because I won't 'pay' apparently. So, the 'cool good guys' have become just one more corporate, money grubbing giant that wants to control the universe (sigh). So I'm all out promoting this search engine. I want to see peel & stick decals and bumper stickers with big red X mark over Google name with DuckDuckGo written underneath it to promote the site.

Excellent option for those who defend and proactively spread the ideologies behind freedom in the "Big network"!

Congrats, that's fantastic news. As a side-note: The FF split-off browser Pale Moon also includes DDG in the search engine list and has it set as the default.

Splendid. It's great to have a alternative search engine with a high level of power and fewer downsides.
