Announcing the redesigned Android app!

We're wrapping up a very successful beta and are officially releasing our redesigned Android app on Google Play.

We've received a ton of useful feedback and are very grateful for all the support. With this release we're addressing the most essential feedback and any remaining bugs. Feedback that has not been addressed for the release of the redesign will be reconsidered for the next release.

The new app will be gradually rolled out over the next few days and can be downloaded from the Play Store . We would love to hear any additional feedback you may have so we can improve our app even further. We’re listening!

Edit: The app is now 100% rolled out!

Good news. Would also like to see a direct download link on the app's page: https://duckduckgo.com/app/ so people aren't forced to go through an app store.

You should also update the app on f-droid

I'm using the old version, still a good app! But why not developing your own browser? Or at least insert the tabs. I would switch to it immediately for ordinary browsing but now, with the old app, you can only have one search session at time and it's kind of limitating in certain circumstances, and i have to use a browser. Thanks anyway for DuckDuckGo!
