Also check out some of our favorite Instant Answers of 2015 for some inspiration!
Show locations for farmer's markets nearby!
Bibliographic Data using DOI
Showing some bibliographic data right after searching the DOI could be very useful--especially if we could get the abstract right in the Instant Answer.
Show information on different cars by using Edmunds' API.
Periodic Table: Provide Atomic Mass for queries containing the name or "periodic table"
Queries for atomic elements by name, e.g. "Helium", "Lathanum" should show the atomic mass instead of repeating the full name.
Bitsum: Hamming weight result is confusing
The Hamming weight output is the same as the search query which doesn't seem correct, e.g. the Hamming weight for 11101 is 4 but the Instant Answer says 11101.
Minecraft: Need to reign in triggering
We need to ensure that the remainder of the query is only the name of the recipe we're looking up. We can use a regex to ensure the query matches our expectation.
Political Polls: Triggering needs to be reigned in
Looks like just about any query containing "poll" is triggering this Instant Answer. We definitely need to reign this in!
URLDecode: Does not correctly decode
It looks like when this Instant Answer was converted to accept UTF-8 we should have switched to using uri_escape_utf8.
Sunrise/Sunset: Netherlands or Amsterdam wrong
We need to tighten the relevancy. We need to do a better job of taking the city + country and comparing it to the results from their API.
Happy holidays, everyone!
