Weekly Update 88: Using JavaScript with Goodies

This is a copy of our weekly newsletter for developers which you can subscribe to here.

Hello, hackers!

If you missed it, our Goodies now support JavaScript! That means you can create stand-alone Instant Answers that run on people's browsers--especially interactive ones like our timer which was made by mattr555. Check out our video tutorial on the topic: https://vimeo.com/album/3769284/video/153330462

If you want to get your hands dirty in JavaScript, check out this list of tasks compiled by GuiltyDolphin.

Help us test things out on the beta server as well if you have the time!

I'd like to ask about the A L'orange Award . Is it necessary to merge pull requests only from the live issues section https://duck.co/ia/dev/issues or do you generally count merged pull requests?

Yes any issues in there that belong to the Goodies repository should be good! If there are any other questions, hit us up on Slack! http://docs.duckduckhack.com/resources/get-in-touch.html
