Weekly Update 89: Code with Love
This is a copy of our weekly newsletter for developers which you can subscribe to here.
Valentine's day and Galentine's day are all happening this weekend! But if you happen to have just a little free time and you can code, take a look at some of these and send some love our way, too.
IsItUp: Should not trigger on "is it up", "is it down", "is site down"
We should ignore these specific queries. We may also want to put a minimum character count for candidate domains that don't have a TLD.
Have I Been Pwned: Add message for zero results
When no results are found, a message should be displayed that says that the account wasn't compromised.
Riffsy: Restrict character matching to Emoji only
The current implementation accepts other unicode characters as well, but we should only limit it to emojis.
InTheaters: Update detail pane layout
There's been a regression with the layout of the movies Instant Answer. Help us fix it!
Whois Spice: JS Error causing nothing to be displayed for valid domains
We should be checking the response from the server to prevent the code from breaking.
Launch Library: Add ability to filter by time or country
Filter on things like "next rocket launches in Japan" or "upcoming rocket launches in December"
Happy Valentine's day!
