Logos That Didn't Make the Homepage

We love doing special homepage logos for cool events and commemorations. The vast majority of special logos have been created by our talented designer, MWatermelon and we usually go through a few different versions of a particular logo before we get it just right. In some cases, though, we completely change it at the last minute or miss a deadline entirely (oops).

Here are a few logos that never made it out the door...

Nikola Tesla's birthday - animated

1 Million Searches - animated via Eve Weinberg

Ducky New Year

Dec. 21st 2012 - Mayan Long Count Calendar

Hipster Dax the Duck

Hiroshi Yamauchi's passing

On Holiday

A. A. Milne's birthday

If you've got a logo suggestion, feel free to suggest it at our community forum .

These are really great! :D

But, I think there have been a mistake, as I'm pretty sure there was a logo up on A. A. Milne's birthday. I remember because I told my sister because she like Winnie the Pooh when she was little. I think I took a screenshot of the homepage, but I'm not able to find it at the moment.

Mayan Calendar one is great. I like the idea of some dude carving out a calendar, saying to himself "Well, no point going further, that's the day the UFOs come".
