All the old cheat sheets have been converted to the new format--thanks to Kishor, Alfonz, and Puneeth for doing such a great job at that!

We need to be vigilant when it comes to Instant Answer triggering because we don't want them to show up on unrelated queries. We need your help to test and fix them! Check out the "5-minute Fixes" section for more details.

If you have a little bit more time available, we need your help doing some spring cleaning in both the Goodies and Spice repos!

Hello, everyone!

Cheat sheets have gotten tremendous amount of love and support, so we've made it easier to make them. If you'd like to start making cheat sheets yourself or if you're interested in helping us do some clean up, check out this issue!

We are in the process of adding developer attribution (credits) on instant answers. Check it out and let us know what you think while we continue to refine it increase coverage. Bitcoin is one good example.

Hello, everyone!

The community has done a very good job of maintaining the codebase recently, and it's something that we've never really had much of in the past. It's especially true when it comes to reviving old and abandoned Instant Answers, quickly finding and fixing bugs, and helping out to move to simpler or better solutions. It's quite a sight to see.

Now that we're getting more and more contributors, we've been experimenting on different ways to smooth out the entire process. One of the things we're doing behind the scenes is adding more built-in templates so that it's no longer necessary to add custom JS/CSS. And we've been building them based on your work! Check out how much cruft was removed when we transitioned to the list template or the movies template.

We have some Instant Answers that launched this week which includes Geometry, EventsNearMe, Twitch Streams, and the Dogo IAs which include movies, news, and books! To get involved this week, check out the sections below!

Hello, everyone!

Next week, the community is hosting a developer event in New York City. If you can't attend yourself, please help us spread the word!

In other news, the Spice repository got a lot of cleanup this week. The reddit Instant Answer is now using a regex trigger instead of trigger words so thanks to puskin94 for that one. You can see all the other changes made this week (many to triggers, libraries, and UI stuff) in the release notes.

Hello, everyone!

A very special thanks to the people who fixed the issues in last week's e-mail namely ilv for improving the output of temperature conversions and SoerenWeber for fixing the missing labels in FrequencySpectrum!

This week we found out that v2 of Octopart's API is going to be deprecated soon, and we need to switch to v3! If you're interested making the switch, check out #1595.

Hey all,

We currently have a few abandoned IAs that are half-done, and needs a little help before going live. One example is the DOI instant answer which needs to use the new Spice API for it to work on the front-end. If you'd like the glory of finishing this instant answer, we'd be excited to tell the community you are the hero. Check out the old discussion here.

If you'd like to revive other IAs, check out the issues in the Spice or Goodies repositories.
