Often times, depending on pharmacy, brand, and dosage, pills can look very similar to one another, or one drug may look extremely different from another form of the same - e.g. antibiotics as tablet vs. capsule. While it would be helpful in some cases, it's dangerous to take pills that aren't prescribed specifically for you, in part because they are so difficult to decipher. So - I see the value in this, but I'm not sure how efficient in can be and what kind of upkeep it might need to stay super accurate.
