Hi there! Great that you're using DuckDuckGo.

Your question (or variants of it) is the most asked question on And no, DuckDuckGo really doesn't have any date functions or features. You can find out more about that here:

You know actually, that page is pretty useless. So let me give you a rundown of what I've picked up while on the forums here:
- If you want to sort results by date, you can use the sort:date function. Just at " sort:date" to the end of your search.
- Dates are not a priority for the DDG staff (which is a shame because it is literally the most asked for feature on these forums). The reason is mostly because of how DDG collects and returns it's results which makes it difficult for it to get date data. (You'll notice that sort:date doesn't have the best ever results.)
- There are no functions for date ranges. You'll have to use Google, Bing or another search engine for that.
- There's a news IA for if you search for a recent news article. You'll see the "News" tab in the IA banner (or whatever it's called).

Anyway, to answer your question, no there is no function and no, there won't be that function anytime soon (unless the DDG staff are keeping awful quite and want to surprise us with it; we can all hold out hope!).

I'd recommend you use DDG for your regular searches then use one of the bangs suggested in that help article I linked to whenever you need to do a date search.
