To clarify, since I don't see an edit button. The risk that google might use my mouse clicks and browser crashes in their statistics tracking is far less annoying then the risk that I stumble on an actual botnet or someone exploits my browser's security because I didn't bother to update chromium fast enough. Also I kinda prefer having google's safe blacklist feature, even if I am running malware bytes and Avira antivirus.
I use duckduckgo for the privacy and convenience, but I also am completely willing to put up with some less privacy in exchange for security.
