Adblock
https://adblockplus.org
I believe this project is raising the standard of trust online because since I've installed it my data consumption has decreased while I maintain the same browsing experience. It blocks malicious pop-ups as well as annoying ad bars on pages (even YouTube) at the script level. These ads have a strong chance in being malicious in most websites outside the domain of reputable website hosts (Google, Yahoo, Wordpress etc. which is about 20% of the internet).

I would mention that uBlock Origin is better, and doesn't have the "trusted ads" whitelist.

Agreed. Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin are kinda orthogonal. I'd love to see work on integrating them with the Tor Browser.

I would say you can totally replace adblock with the Privacy Badger. It's a smarter, more ethical idea. Also, it was built on adblock's code. I think I'd rather fund the Privacy Badger directly (which was done last year) than Adblock, but we'll see which projects get picked :)
