I am ready to be spied on again the results are not good compared to the evil G. I tried searching for air canada for example - their actual site was on page 3.

I'm certainly not getting the same results as you are reporting: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Air+Canada

In my results, I have several AI News articles on Air Canada, followed by a link to their official site, then a Wikipedia article about AC, then vacations.aircanada.com . All these at the top of the first results page. Can you please provide your search parameters that gave your reported results?

I have the same problem. My FX Broker website is visible with one single link on Duck although I have more than 100 pages on this domain.

My trading blog is even worser. More than 300 websites and one single entry at Duck. It is a little bit disappointing.

I am using Duck as my main search engine, but the results should be really improved. I believe this is the main task.

Go for good!

Best regards,

sdo

It did a quick check on your first link and got these results:

Search Results are HORRIBLE! When I type in an address, the first thing I want is a MAP, not Zillow.

I'm ready to be spied on again too. This is just ridiculous.

Examples please? We'd like to make this a better experience but need to see how your results are being generated.

I can't paste a screen shot in here so you won't be able to see what I got.

When I type in my address I get the following first:

realtor.com
trulia.com
zillow.com
redfin.com
calfironiamoves.com

On the entire first page of search results I do not get a map link.

So then I typed in a friend's address and I got Mapquest first. Mapquest is not a great mapping website - google is far superior.

But still, I think an address in the search bar should be a map link first.

you can paste in the url of the DDG results screen, that will give us the search parameter that you used. Or, if you prefer to use a screenshot you can use alt-PrntScr (if Windows) to capture just the browser, paste it to http://snag.gy/ and paste the link here.

The developers want you to have the best results possible, any information that you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks!

Check the Instant Answers bar. It usually has "Images" and "Videos", but sometimes it also has "Maps". Click there, and a list of maps will appear in DDG.

Now and then, DDG doesn't recognize an address (though it's getting better).

I think a cool feature would be Instant Answer superiority. If I type in an address, it should have Maps as the default IA tab instead of Images or nothing. (I have feeling that most people's eyes just flow over the instant answers and don't realize they can click Maps.)

I've never had a Map show up in the Instant Answers bar. I've submitted my search results and that's about all the time I'm putting into this. Sorry guys, I have a business to run too.

If you have developers, maybe they should be doing some of the legwork by putting in addresses and getting their own search results. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I don't get paid to do this work. :)

And - ANOTHER PROBLEM

I was looking for a pressure washer and I got more results to buy from the United Kingdom than I did for local brick and mortar stores or US sellers.

Here are examples:

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=285+Fulton+Str...
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=11+North+4th+S...

I provide these to show how some of the searches were formed.

DDG's developers are happy to work with errant results, but what we are seeing are results that are working.

A "search within results" option would help I think.

I switched to using duckduckgo almost exclusively, and I actually like it better. I have to admit, though, it's not as extensive. I can't go searching for my username, for instance, and find all of the websites I've commented on or signed up for.

I can search for "aiir caana" and get aircanada as my first result.
