Why haven't I heard about you?

I love the idea of being able to search and not be tracked
but I was looking for a Perl job when I found you.

Thank you all for the many comments, questions and suggestions. Particular thanks go to user x.15a2 for constantly monitoring, replying and helping so many users here. To continue these discussions, please head over to the DuckDuckGo subreddit.

Well DDG is still a relatively new, but is getting more and more known with time, look at the iOS 8 and Firefox 33.1 inclusion for example. You can also help spreading it.

Just to be clear, this was my response as a negative comment about
DuckDuckGo, as a request in the intro to pursuing a job with you.

One thing to bare in mind is that most responses in these forums come from other DDG users and DDG CommLeaders, both of which are not DDG employees. Only if you see the little [http://snag.gy/2ySS9.jpg] icon is the answer from a DDG employee.

As to why you haven't heard of DDG, it's hard to say. Take a look at this page for more information, include a small sampling of press we've received: https://duckduckgo.com/about

I'll admit to being confused about this thread. Is there a specific DDG web page that is in error, a question about DDG's hiring process, or other issue?

If you are interested in employment at DDG, please read the information here: https://duck.co/help/company/hiring (if you haven't already). A contact email address is also provided there.
