Safe search omits "adult" sites but does not censor language. I would think that if web sites that contained any "bad language", most search results would be very short.

Therein lies the rub, too sensitive for some may not be sensitive enough for others. It's a really tough thing to do while keeping users happy.

Perhaps another filter that is disabled by default called SafeWords. It would remove pages containing the f-word or such language. This would be for parents who don't want there children seeing this stuff normalized or for people (like me) who just don't want to see it themselves. This would only be page-specific.

If you are using Pale Moon or a similar browser (Firefox-based) you might be interested in the Procon Latte add-on, which allows your browser to censor vulgarities.

Sensitivity could be expressed as a SLIDER within multiple category blocks

[colorful language]
[0...........9] sexual
[0...........9] hostile

[blasphemous]
[0...........9] God's names
[0...........9] God's powers

Anything additional (like intentionally emasculating language, or wrong-tolerance [tolerance of wrong]) might be best served by client-side DDG "official" interweb browser extension.

That's a great idea. The developers should look at this.
