Main duckduckgo.com page issue

Hi there,
I have a small but annoying issue. I am using Firefox 31.7.0 ESR.
The problem is that when I load the main page (by making CTRL-T, p.e.) the cursor never goes to the search field. It stays in the address bar with the address in blue as selected text. If I start typing, I would overwrite the URL.
I have to click on the search field to start searching.
As said, not too important but annoying.

Has anyone suffered this?

THANKS!

Sounds like a Firefox 31 issue. On Firefox 38 it works fine and the search bar gets focus on page load.

I use Pale Moon browser which is a split from FF and when I open a new tab which goes to DDG (Ctrl-T), the cursor autofocuses on the search field, so apparently what you are experiencing is something with FF and not the DDG home page.

I would suggest that you try running FF in safe mode or from a new profile to see if this still occurs. If not, there is likely an extension that you are using that causes this.

Just tried. Thanks for the recommendation. Still have the issue in safe mode.
I guess that I'll have to refresh it...

I'd try with a new profile, sorry, unable to replicate with any server. What OS are you experiencing this in?

I'm not experiencing your issue. My cursor jumps right to the search box.

I have solve the issue by making a REFRESH to the FF profile.

Thanks, you all, for your ideas. I had completely forgotten about FF profiles since I decided not to use them years ago when they were a performance problem.
