IM losing offline messages

I noticed after the last maintenance window (close to that) that messages are not being saved if sent to someone that is offline. They log on but do not receive them. This is regardless of the clients, on either side, involved.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Bumping in light of the IM connection issues.

The team at DDG has been investigating xmpp all weekend and it's a top priority for the ops team right now. I haven't had connections issues since Monday AM (EST), can anyone confirm?

I don't know what you mean with "connections issues", but,
for me, offline messages still go to "/dev/0".

I did not notice it, but I don't use the XMPP account here. The offline messages are, as far as I know, handled by the server. BUT if the server did not receive them (your client may opt to deliver them later itself). This does not look as your case, though, and this post is ~3 months. What client(s) you use?

As the starter of this thread already stated, the problem does not depend
on the client software and it is an issue for both directions.
Additionally, offline messaging worked perfectly in the past and it still works
perfectly with the same clients at jabber.org and ICQ.

I use XMPP accounts in other servers, since a few years ago. And I will use DDG's account too if I find people around here doing it. :) It would be nice.

Maybe I even start using it, anytime - just like a new email we sometimes create or start using.

Just found this one detail. DDG XMPP server seems very good! :) :)

I compared it with another one that some friends and I use.
