Hello there
I have a DuckDuckGo toolbar for quite a while now and I do use it frequently ...and it works great but today I saw something that could be glitch.
I was looking for a programme that could convert decimal number to binary number on google and it gave me a string of binary .

What was the search query?
That probably was the binary converter Instant Answer that converted your search terms in binary.

Yes ,it was " Convert Decimal to Binary algorithm "
It's not a problem I guess , just a glitch that Instant Answer came up with ....

"decimal to binary" is a DDG IA, so "convert decimal to binary" yields:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=convert+decima...

While "Convert Decimal to Binary algorithm" gives:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Convert+Decima...

The result in the original post is from another search engine, not DDG, so if it was sent to DDG, the search parameters must have included a !Bang as well as that is the only means of getting there from DDG.

Thanks!

I think the OP is using that cool addon that adds IAs to !b and !g.

The other problem here is that the binary doesn't wrap and instead extends over the borders of the box. This is a CSS problem and I expect that it could be fixed in the IA's code. Otherwise, it might need to be fixed in the addon.

To the OP: It's good that you're using the DDG addon. However, you might want to look into searching privately, either with DuckDuckGo.com itself, or with a proxy search engine like Startpage.com.

Cheers,

I think if we add "Decimal to Binary " to any query ,it'll give the binary string as an Answer ...
for example:
"javascript decimal to binary"
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=javascript++de...
it took the whole string as a decimal question and converted into Binary
It works great with other queries related to the subject
like "Decimal to Hexadecimal Algorithm"
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=decimal+to+hex...

It's like those 8bit NES game glitches
I think as a User I have to put up with that ... :)

Its probably meant to happen. (Unless it happens to the "decimal to binary" part. Then its a glitch.)
