I'd suggest that you look at DDG's site fixtracking.com . In most cases, it's a matter of configuring the browser that you are currently using to prevent tracking.

(The following is my opinion only): I know that Chrome is very popular, but it's a G product and is configured by default to track a lot of your activity (big surprise!). If you like Chrome's functionality but not the tracking, I'd suggest SRWare's Iron browser. It's the same source-code as Chrome, but with the trackers removed. Read more about it at: http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron_chrome_vs_iron.php

FireFox is pretty secure.I would go for that.

Although Chrome does seem to work better with this site, don't know why that is.

The Tor browser (orweb) and Firefox for android are a bit disappointing so far. And thee ddg app is too big for what it is. (using mx z64)
