Problem using the \ prefix

When using a search plugin in a browser that has an affiliation (Pale Moon in this case) I've found that if the \ prefix is used to go directly to the first result, it'll just redirect to the following:

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=&t=

Is this a problem with the site or the browser's search plugin? Using that prefix on the site itself seems to work fine.

Is this happening through the address bar or the search bar?

I can see exactly the same problem with both \ and '! ' syntax. I am currently on Linux I will update as soon as I log in a Windows machine. I also tried adding something in front of the 't=' then it worked.
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=\lwn&t= will not work https://duckduckgo.com/?q=\lwn&t=test works!

It was through the search bar. The problem seems to be fixed now though, strangely.

Strange it seems to be working for some domains, I tried \bbc works but \lwn still does not work! Also problem shows up in both search bar as well as the DDG edit box.

And now it seems that domains it was working for a few hours ago now don't work. Very strange.

This is also now happening on the main site (e.g. https://www.duckduckgo.com) if an affiliation is put after the URL (e.g. ?t=palemoon). It's only fixed by not having any affiliation.

This should be fixed now but some might be cached for a day or two. Thanks for reporting in!

It seems the problem is not solved here yet. First time it worked! but as soon as I entered "t=lm" it stopped working even without "t=", strange.

It seems the problem is not solved here yet, so it should not be a cache thing anymore. It changes https://duckduckgo.com/?q=\lwn to https://duckduckgo.com/?q=&t= but it still works for \bbc
