Iron Browser

Anybody use Iron browser?

It's recently become my browser of choice because I don't trust Google/Chrome.

Any thoughts of DDG cosying up to the devs. You can add DDG easily but it isn't a pre-option.
I think the privacy ethos of the two is similar. Iron + DDG (+Ghostery) = a sense of privacy.

It's been recommended to me by a lot of people, so I think I'll download it and check it out! As for the whole "cozying up to the devs", did you try posting in this thread?

The best approach for this is to have real users like @anphicle ask for it on the official mailing lists.

Here's a somewhat negative article on Iron/Chrome, but I think that DDG could still work in it.

(Posted a topic on their forum re DDG in Iron, but it needs to be apporoved first. Waiting...)

Yeah, that was a pretty scathing review of Iron, I must say... Put me off the browser entirely!

Previous guest was me, forgot to log in, and also add: In any case, it would be nice to have one of the larger small browsers have DDG as a/the default browser.

Midori is one of the 'larger small browsers', and it recently made duckduckgo the default!

Personally, I've heard to much bad stuff about it to trust it entirely. Whether everything that I've heard is a rumour and based on lies or not, I don't like Google's data-mining-ness (you know what I mean) already, so Chrome is off the table for me personally for that reason.
