It would be nice to be able to load native Google Widgets (or similar) on to a duckduckgo landing page.

Do you mean on the DDG homepage or a DDG widget on iGoogle?

Thanks for replying.

On the DDG homepage; Netvibes.com also does this quite well.

I do most of my searching from my homepage, but I like to have finance info, Facebook feed etc on my browser start page. At the moment there isn't really a way to do this with DDG. I was thinking about writing a greasemonkey/userscript to make Netvibes use DDG instead of Google for searching, but a proper DDG solution would be great!

I also realize that some people prefer a minimalist start page so this should, of course, be an optional feature.

Yes, I can see the usefulness in that. Would love to check out the script if you make it. That might be a good solution for now.
