DuckPAN with Vagrant

I wanted to get the DuckPAN app running to better explore the Instant Answers system and was surprised that I couldn't find it available for Vagrant, only as a prebuilt Virtualbox image.

I saw that Vagrant is on the roadmap for DuckPAN (as well as running DuckPAN headless) - then I stumbled across the beginnings of a Vagrant-based setup for DuckPAN on GitHub. It didn't work for me, though, so I started working on it and got the issues fixed.

Anyone interested in trying out a Vagrant-based DuckPAN to test it and report back on any remaining issues?

My work is here: https://github.com/shedd/duckpan-vagrant

Still working on a few improvements to clean up other aspects of the Vagrant setup and the Chef cookbooks, but would love to get some feedback.

Thanks for the comments!

The other collaborator I'm working with has been working to clean up the Chef cookbooks used to provision the Vagrant machine. He just posted a question about trying to speed up the installation of Duckpan: https://dukgo.com/forum/thread/4802/cach...

Any thoughts, or anyone who knows Duckpan's installation process well that we should talk to?

Thanks in advance!

Further improvements to duckpan-vagrant have been pushed.

The old embedded cookbooks have been removed and everything has been moved to a Berkshelf file, in keeping with Chef best practices.
