I would like that when you type a keyword like "latest news" or "news", the instant answer will pull from a variety of sources, including Wikinews, CNN, Fox, ABC, NBC, Slate, Time, CBS, etc. and assemble a small virtual box with 5 or less headlines from events that are taking place or have happened fairly recently. I think that this could indeed help users get news about current events faster, since we are already giving users very up-to-date information with stock prices and weather.
Services like Wikinews's or other free news agency's data can be pulled and used for this instant answer. Other, more prevalent news sources such as the ones I previously mentioned, may be only accessible with content deals, something that the open source community should stay out of (in my mind).

I think this way you will not satisfy all ddg users, many of us check their news on specific source, because not everyone care about FOX, CNN, ABC news and not everyone are English speakers.

Of course, but we can no doubt pull in some more sources based on users' location (using the same code that currently provides users with instant answers when they type the keyword "weather" based on their location).
