Hi folks,

My idea is that you'd type in something like "stock rate XXX" or "stock exchange rate XXX" or maybe simply "rate XXX" and it would display the current stock exchange rate of the company XXX.
It seems like there is a goodie that is kind of doing this, but only for msft, so I figured why not doing this for most companies.
I'm not sure I have enough spare time right now to start developing this, but if this idea is accepted maybe someone else could try !

It looks like here there might be some great tool for this :

Or using this tool : http://www.wolframalpha.com/ (see https://duckduckgo.com/goodies#Economy_a... with the msft goodie)

As far as I can tell, DDG already does this. For instance, a search for "intc" produces a stock quote at the bottom of the instant answer box after a moment's pause.

You're correct. We currently show stock prices using WolframAlpha, https://duckduckgo.com/?q=aapl.

Unfortunately they can be quite slow to respond so if anyone would like to use a different API to serve stock quotes we'd really appreciate it!
