I run Equaldex, a crowdsourced database of LGBT rights information. I'd love to provide data to DuckDuckGo about LGBT rights.

I can provide the status of LGBT laws in any country:
- Homosexual activity
- Same-sex marriage
- Same-sex adoption
- Homosexuals serving openly in military
- LGBT discrimination
- Right to change legal gender
- Blood donations by MSMs
- Equal age of consent
- LGBT employment discrimination
- LGBT housing discrimination
- Conversion therapy

Data returned can include:
- Law status (Example: "Same-sex marriage: Legal")
- Date law was enacted ("Since May 14, 1969")
- Details (Example: "Canada decriminalized homosexuality with the introduction of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1968-69.")

For example, you could search "gay marriage canada" and it could return:

Legal (since Jul 20, 2005)
Same-sex marriage in Canada became legal with The Civil Marriage Act.

I can create an API for Equaldex to return the data, however, I don't have experience Spice instant answers, so I was looking for a developer to build that portion of it.

Hi Dan,

Your site Equaldex looks like a fantastic resource!

I'd be happy to look into developing the Spice portion.

The preferred API response format is JSONP https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2067...

It would be best if the Spice could simply call your API with the country name and return the counties LGBT attributes like marriage status, adoption etc

Thanks,
Chris

This is awesome to hear! Thanks, Chris.

A JSONP response using a country name would definitely be doable. I'll work on this and get back to you when I have something put together.

Hey Chris, Sorry for the delay. I finally got around to developing a JSONP API for Equaldex. Do you have an email I can reach you at to give you the details? Thanks! :)
