return the location of the user when a search of "where am i?" is made.
can be done by checking the IP address of user (like wolfram alpha does) or by using geo location features of HTML5 APIs

that solves. But if the user is usinga proxy, it would return the IP ( and hence the location ) as seen by the servers at duckduckgo, would it be possible to use html5 geo location ?
like here http://html5demos.com/geo?

Actually, we already have an internal Location API which can be used by any plugins. Documentation and examples can be found here: https://github.com/duckduckgo/zeroclicki...

The anonymous example in the comments seems to satisfy this request. Would you care to expand this idea? Otherwise, would you mind if we closed this?
