Bulbapedia is a more complete resource and is generally known as the premier Pokemon wiki. By comparison, Pokemon Encyclopedia is virtually unknown. It seems silly, therefore, to get instant results from TPW instead of Bulbapedia.

Not that statistics say everything, but TPW has 5,367 articles whereas Bulbapedia has 21,457.

In addition, both run Mediawiki so should be equally as easy to search as one another.

That sucks.

It wouldn't be especially hard to parse even without a data dump.

I can write a new Pokémon plugin (as Python Fathead since I don't know and don't want to learn Perl), which could reference (depending on language if this is possible) Bulbapedia (English), PokéWiki (German) (or Bisafans, since PokéWiki is often down), Poképédia (French), or Pokémon Central (Italian). The Pokémon data would be stored in the plugin itself, so it does not depend on external sites and works even if they are down.

They don't want to provide a data dump. If you look at their forum you should see some old threads about it. I think they're also referenced at duck.co.

Having this would be nice, so that we have a reputable wiki as the info source rather than one known for plagiarism. And as always, it's nice to get away from Wikia.
