Many, many instant answers are only triggered with English search queries - and that's sad.
For all the folks who are not English-speaking users or at least not searching often in English this is very sad.

So an easy way to translate instant answers would be nice.

The best would be if it would be translatable like anything else via https://duck.co/translate.

Yes, I've been thinking about this too. Many of the instant answers can actually be translated by changing very few things on the code (i.e. localized). Furthermore, if the user's Region is enabled and the Language set, it could further customize the output.

I think of mainly two different approaches:

A) creating a new instant answer, almost identical to an original one, but featuring minimal changes for a specific language. Then appending the language identifier at the end of the name.
Example filenames for Flip a coin (Coin.pm)
Coin-DE_de.pm
Coin-IT_it.pm
Coin-ES_uy.pm

b) being able to localize the input and output strings of instant answers by having a small set of variables which can be translated. This has the advantage of using always the latest available source version in all languages.

However, I'm not 100% sure if being able to translate it via https://duck.co/translate would be the best way, because having the context of the source code is essential here.

I really would like to help with instant answers in my language, and at the moment I don't know how to do it the right way®.
Feedback appreciated.

Nice ideas. I would prefer the second method because I think it isn't that nice to have a bunch of files of only one instant answer there.
I think a kind of "generic" translation method like you described in b would be nicer IMHO.

BTW of course I would like to translate the instant answers in my language too - otherwise I wouldn't have requested this.
