I'd like to make an Instant Answer to help people searching for emacs packages!
When someone searches for emacs package, it would be cool if they could see melpa packages.

I'm going to accomplish this with a Spice type Instant Answer.
This is the data source: http://melpa.org/archive.json.
This is the related Duck.co idea: https://duck.co/ideas/idea/599/python-pa...
This is my Github username: chillaranand.

Thanks!

I commented on Gitter, but figured I should repost here:

This is a great idea, but I'm concerned about the archive.json file -- it's very large (500Kb).

We should aim to use a search endpoint that will perform a search through the archive, so that we only have to deal with relevant packages.

I'd like to avoid requesting the entire archive for every API call because it's going to be slow, and we can only assume, that the archive is going to continue to grow.

i am also concerned about this. to get description we need to make another api call. i have opened an issue on their repo to provide an api. if they are ready for that, it would be easier. other wise we may have to switch to fathead(maybe)?
