Calculate colors based on rgb/hsv/hex. User inputs a color such as color:rgb(255,255,255), the response returns a box with the actual color, and the hex and hsv conversion.

I've started working on this.

I see that DuckDuckGo is already doing "sort" of thing you are proposing but only from HEX.
DDG is using API of some other site but what I like is that you can see the actual color (in color box).. But conversion to RGB is not working... =(
[if you type e.g.: #ff0000 ]

So it will be nice and really helpful (at least for me =) if you can make something similar but better =)

Please! make it in the way that user can paste just "#00FF00" into search box like now...
...and then user can copy results:
rgb(0,255,0)

and maybe even [like you proposed]
hsv(85,255,255)

from there.... in that case web developers (like myself) will definitely love to use it.

Even conversion rgb(0,255,0) into #00FF00 could be sometime useful...

PS: I can not express enough how much I am looking forward to fully working functionality of color conversion =)

DuckDuckGo I think that would be amazing. If someone can do it better/faster than me I say go for it :) I just think it would be an amazing addition all together.

Actually.. apparently I just need to open my eyes eh, I notice the hex conversion now which is great, pretty much that just needs a way to put in rgb, and hsv and it would be perfect.

while you're at it throw in pantone values (yes, I know that the correct value depends on the material to be printed - but a list of possibles is still useful) http://www.netfront.fr/Services/rgb2pant...

Since it's been almost a month, I did this one yesterday. Haven't looked at rgb2pantone yet, but here's what I have: https://github.com/duckduckgo/zeroclicki...
It handles queries like "rgb 255 255 255", "rgb(255,255,255)", and even more natural queries like "hex color code for red."

The current version uses Convert::Color -- we could open source it if you'd like to combine it and keep the same consistent output.

see here: https://duckduckgo.com/goodies#Web_Desig...

sorry for reviving an old post but topics are related so..=)
anyways, is it just me or is hex display not showing anymore?

tried hashing, pre/suffixing with colo/ur, html, hex and the plain code by itself.
but as it turns out even the official example given doesn't work:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%23368798

--looking at below comments i tried
hsl 368798
hoping to get at least a conversion. but nada. however! an awesome site resource came up:
http://encycolorpedia.com/369877
strangely it didn't return on my own definitive query--but a quick in-site search did well enough =))

as a final note, all examples below too did not return instant answers though answers were nicely laid out on first page(unlike in my own instance):
