Show local events with eventful.com for instance: "events city" will show local event results rather then search results. Would not be bad to have a yelp map on the side to show local results as well.

Another way to do this is by getting the "shows|concerts near me" with LastFM.

That one could be a new function for the LastFM spice.

Hey guys,

I recently expanded my event/calendar site, CircaGo, to pull in events from different APIs. So far I have EventBrite, Meetup, Eventful, and Last.fm. I'm working on including as many as I can. Eventful appears to be a little stricter with who uses their API, so I need to talk to them further.

I've created an API layer for CircaGo to expose search functionality. Would it be alright if I created an event spice against my site instead of Eventful directly?

I'm still improving CircaGo, but the core functionality is there. I've been reading through the spice documentation, and it seems pretty straight forward for me to integrate.

Let me know what you think. Thanks,

Tom

CircaGo,

That should be fine, go ahead and make a pull request, then we can iron out the details.

If there is a problem with the Eventful results, a separate plugin can always be made to just use the eventful API and your plugin would still be usable.

frncscgmz, would you make a new idea for that? We can mark it as an Improvement.
