The Fire Danger Rating tells you how dangerous a fire would be if one started. They are used all over Australia during the fire season (summer months mostly), I believe other countries have same kind of thing.

The rating are published every afternoon for following day normally. Sometimes in extreme cases they updated a few times a day.
This my state's fire service page for the fire danger ratings: http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-informati...

I believe this would a good public safety feature.

I'm a rural firefighter, so this something close to my heart as I know that right information at the right time can save lives.
