Google Translate is not the best translator for single-word requests. Often, users want a full list of definition, grammar details and useful links to further understand if the translation is relevant.
WordReference many offers language-to-language combinations. It is used for the moment with en-fr and fr-en translations on DuckDuckGo (try the search "translation !enfr" for example).
However, this should be extended to more combinations (about 34 are available, see http://www.wordreference.com/), and in order not to disrupt translations of whole sentences by Google Translate, DuckDuckGo should discriminate between single-word and multiple-word searches.

Is this for an instant answer or a !bang? New !bangs can be submitted here: https://duckduckgo.com/newbang

If it's an instant answer idea, it sounds like the one for a translation function but wordreference's translation seems to not handle http://www.wordreference.com/es/translat... of text so might not work well as a source for the IA.

....I think you meant the !bang tho :)

Ooops yeah you are right, I definitely meant it to be a bang... :s
Not sure why I did not realise this was different.
Cheers!
