I put in chericbaker which should return my website, chericbaker.co.uk but that was way down under a load of results that did not contain "chericbaker" at all. Very poor. The reason is that you came up with Did you mean cheri baker? and displayed false results as if I'd said yes to that. So you displayed cheri baker, chris baker and all sorts of rubbish that did not match my search term. The answer is to allow us to answer NO and get rid of the rubbish results.

This is not an instant answer idea -- please use the general section.

The way to say "no" is generally putting your query in quotes: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%22chericbaker...
However, we try not to assume you mean yes. It is the underlying sources making their own assumptions. This is something we're working on, so thanks for the example.

I'd like to see a "no" at the end of "did you means" that converts the original search into verbatim. Also, missing terms from results shouldn't be a standard way to do things.

(yes this isn't an instant answer suggestion, but there's no way to highlight/vote on the main forum).
