Tanto "buscador" como "motor de búsqueda" son totalmente válidas. La primera en el contexto coloquial del uso de la Web, en tanto la segunda es correcta en el contexto tecnológico.

Por motivos de difusión de la herramienta de búsqueda, voté por la traducción de "buscador".

Concuerdo en tu comentario, con respecto al ejemplo. Pero probablemente ese token será usado en otros contextos, lo cual debería ser verificado.

This kind of tokens needs to be deeply discussed as they depend on the context where used plus the semantics. According to the given example, "te" is an even better translation than "tu" or "tú".
a comment on the token What is Do Not Track (DNT)? in the domain WhatIsDNT.com for the language Argentinian Spanish 3 years and 6 months ago
This is a tricky one.

I agree with sebasorribas on his comment the token should remain untranslated as it is part of the title in the main window. But, to keep everything translated, a literal translation could be "No rastrear". "No al rastreo" is also good enough to keep the context of paradigm behind the DNT website. Let's leave the community vote on the one which best fits! =)

I'm submitting a translation that best reflects the context where the phrase is used. A "snippet" does not have a literal translation for Spanish. Furthermore, technical and science terms should not be translated in the context where used unless an equivalent term exists.

In that sense, the snippet is that brief description about a given website shown as a part of the search results.
