duckduckgo app on firefox marketplace

I have to admit that I don't have the slightest idea what a "firefox phone" might be. I'm old. However, I do know one thing: If it's based on html5, then it's evil.

*sigh* No, they shouldn't. More than enough effort has been spent on doing "nifty" stuff. I'd prefer better search results.

As every reasonable human being is opposed to Html5, I wholeheartedly oppose this request/suggestion.

random input/suggestion for DDG-developers
4 years and 8 months ago
Hi,
this is just intended as some random, maybe meaningless, input for the developers of DDG.
I issued two search queries:
- "how many" home directory "find . -maxdepth 1 | wc -l"
- home directory "find . -maxdepth 1 | wc -l"
(Backup screenshot:

The former/right result included a link to the latter/left. They weren't presented as search results together, though. I think they should be.
Maybe this helps somehow.
Cheers
Joe

Appearing at the top of search results

Shocking, is it? I'm just as at unease with the current development of DDG as the next guy, but I fail to understand why you think that DDG owes you a better rating.
> So the volume or 'richness' of a domain
Putting it into quotation marks doesn't resolve you from explicitly stating your claim. Why do you think you deserve any better? You might be able to resolve it by comparing the search-results, given your knowledge of the field, but how's a search engine supposed to recoginze it ad hoc?
Your achievements/books/importance aren't necessarily recognizable by a search-engine.
Referring/looking-down on pages/websites with lesser significance doesn't help, either.

Unfortunately, no. But I'm in contact with a former member of the Nigerian royal family. They have some investment plans for us.

To increase use of DuckDuckGo, other features will be needed beyond search

Am I supposed to understand a single word you just wrote?
I guess I'm just getting old. However: It's just email, dude. It bears no significance regarding the primary purpose of a search engine. Retrieving valid search results, that is. A task at which DDG continues to fail miserably.
