If I press the down arrow key on the result query page I end up scrolling downward for infinity without a pause. This didn't happen to me yesterday. The only way for me to stop this is to close the browser and re-open it.
I’m using IE8 on Windows 7 at work.

I have come across what looks like a glitch that seemed to have trapped me in an infinite scrolling loop from time to time. I'm not a computer expert so I'll explain the steps on how I came across it.

1) Type in 'cairn terrier' and press enter.
2) select 'image' and 'click to expand'.
3) Use the down arrow on the keyboard to scroll through the images.
4) Continue pressing the down arrow until you find yourself leaving the album of images. After that use the up arrow on your keyboard to back up.
5) Except you won't find yourself backing up but rather sending yourself way to the bottom of the query page. You can use the up arrow key to scroll back up but just before you reach where the images are, you'll find yourself back in the bottom of the query page. Hence the terms 'infinite loop'.

Is anyone else getting this? I hope I'm not the only one.

P.S: I can replicate this issue for 'news', 'videos', 'recipes', etc. It turns out that one doesn't need to 'click to expand' to experience this. If you click on an image then scroll down with the arrow key you'll experience this loop.

I noticed when exploring the new DDG is that the options available in the query page is not often consistence. For example:
Mammal hibernation – images, videos
Chair – products, images, videos, meanings, definition
France – about, images, videos, meanings, definition, news, places, products

In my opinion the lack of consistencies do gives a sense of incompleteness and the feeling that the searches are confined to whatever options are available.

I like to offer two suggestions for the settings.
1) Allow users to selectively include or exclude these options to be permanently display in the query page regardless of the search term. The ones excluded can appear by trigger words. For example Bob Smith want only 'about', 'news', 'images' and 'videos' to appear in the query page.
2) Allow users to disable all these options from being visibly displayed but still appears as trigger words.

Here is a quote that yegg made earlier in response to a similar question:
"There is no change in terms of privacy. We still don't collect or share personal information and auto-suggest does not impact that at all. We simply do not associate queries with personal information (e.g. IP addresses)."

You might want to create a new thread for that topic. This thread is for, as the title stated, 'DuckDuckGo Reimagined and Redesigned'.

I love the re-design that DDG is getting. Though I have a concern that is probably insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

When I got to the query page for typing in ‘CNN’ (or any terms), 4 signs appears below the search box which are ‘About’, ‘Images’, ‘Videos’ and ‘Meanings’. What I found to be somewhat annoying is how it arrange, 'About | Images Videos | Meanings'. In my opinion there should be the ‘|’ symbol after every signs so it would be shown as 'About | Images | Videos | Meanings' – otherwise it would feels as if 'Images Videos' are a singular category.
a comment on the General Rambling DDG may want to consider adding Webutation as an alternative option from WoT 4 years and 7 months ago
There are sites declared 'dangerous' by WoT (eg. scientology or a Canadian government website) but are instead labeled as 'safe' by google safe-browsing, website antivirus and Norton safeweb. At the same time I found that the opposite can also be true because my PC anti-virus system managed to stop a virus attack after clicking on a site declared 'safe' by WoT.

I would like to suggest an alternative option to WoT to make search results more safe to browse.
http://www.webutations.net/

It an aggregation of 3 security checks (and 2 other reputation checks). You be surprised how often WoT gives a red light to what 5 of these gives the 'safe' for (and vice-versa).
a comment on the General Rambling Is there a way to report bad advertising? 4 years and 8 months ago
I attached a screen shot to show an example of the advert + the warning sign offered by WOT to avoid going to that site.

P.S I hope the screenshot shows up here.

You can change the search engine default in the 'search provider' found in the 'manage add-on'. Get duckduckgo from 'manage add-on' by clicking on 'find more search providers', you'll a whole wack of options. From the list search manually for DDG to add to your 'search provider'.

But you mentioned about a message saying DDG is unavailable, are you still encountering that? If so can you provide a screenshot of that said message?
