You can see it right now at 7:13 AM, 28/11/2014. The one from the 21st is "10 hours and 13 minutes ago" and the one from the 14th is "10 hours and 13 minutes ago." Both are wrong.

I know they don't pass the referrer header. However, Bing can still track users by their clicks on ads, knowing what ad they clicked on, when and where they went. This data can be used to target more ads to users off of DDG.

I think it would be possible for DDG to create an ad system and use it with Bing but encourage advertisers to use the native one (better placement or cheaper prices perhaps). Slowly as DDG gains more traffic and prominence, advertisers would begin to advertise on DDG directly.

I really think this phrase should be made a little less geeky.

I can hack but I don't really want to code a project where I'd have to use APIs that I didn't write. I'm still not really that good with them and don't want to have to deal with problems (right now). Also, my code is rather unorthodox in it's styling and I'm very bad at adding comments.

I'd be fine to suggest IAs and find bugs and feel that I'd made a (very small) difference.

Though it may be of little use, some wiktionary.org pages have some translations here and there. Perhaps is would be possible to scrape the content and put it together in an index. Though that's definitely not the best resource.

I remember once I suggested something that would have involved users adding data. If that could be implemented here, that would be cool. For example, if I search "duck in spanish" someone could add a translation (similar to the DDG translation tool) and those translations would be voted upon. The one with the most votes would show highest among the list of translations for a given word.

This would probably require a user login system though.

I think it could be cool if you'd reveal recently added IAs in the weekly review. Just a thought.

Love how DDG's going.

Maybe a different source? Just some basic canvas and JS math could do this... perhaps...

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with the "so many hours ago" blog dates. They aren't correct during the week roll-overs (I think). It's not much of a problem, but I thought you should know.

Cheers.

Hi,

I have a couple concerns I'd like to share:

First, duck.co seems to leave a tracking cookie behind, I'm not sure why. Could it just be the software you're using (I remember something like that in the past).

Second is Bing ads. I understand why you can't just use your own ad system. However, when you click on a Bing ad, it redirects through MSN so that DDG can be payed it's share (and so the advertiser can be charged). Unfortunatly Microsoft does not have the same look on privacy and one can be certain that one is being tracked through that.
