Me too. I seems promising. : )
a reply to a comment on the General Rambling What are the benfits of logging the user agent of people submitting feedback? 4 years and 11 months ago
Okay! Thanks for the reply. It was more out of curiosity, than to "report a problem".

I see the benefits of recording the User Agent! : )

BTW, should,'t this be added to the Privacy Policy? : )

I think a "comment" is actually the same as a reply.

The term "comment" is used when referring to the actual "comment/reply" itself. I.e. as a noun.

The term "reply" is used, when referring to the act of making a "comment/reply". I.e. as a verb.

Acording to the source code[1], well as far as I can understand, it is the exact same "box" (HTML code) they use for all "comment/reply" input fields.

[1] A quick search for "Add Your Comment" in the source code of this platform, over at GitHub, reveal that the phrase only appears once.

I just want to ask the DuckDuckGo team, what the benefits are by logging the user agents of users submitting feedback via the new Feedback-page. : )

Is it really necessary?
I'm referring to the screenshot as displayed in the below screenshot:

Would it be possible to disable the "BBCode shortcuts". I think they're way too sensitive!

I am currently trying to suggest a new Instant Idea, but because I, for some, strange (I know) and unknown reason, hit the CTRL-key on my keyboard while typing some of the letters in my post the editor made my post look like this:

I'm pretty sure that's not what I want. : P
Anyway, I agree with all of the above suggestions. : D

BTW, just quick side note: If you're looking for font that (afaik) can't be read by OCR software you should check out ZXX.

That looks like a nice module!
Although, I can't figure out whether or not, it supports audio-CAPTCHAs, which actually was my biggest "concern". Is doesn't support that, right?

But yes, it would indeed be nice to make "less crackable" images for the CAPTCHA! : )

+1 for the "keep me logged in" idea!
I was thinking of suggesting this myself. : P

Also, a way to embed custom (live) HTML code like [url ="https://duckduckgo.com/?q=abbr+html"]abbr-tags would be nice. I remember the first time I saw "OP", years ago and wondering what it meant. Disclaimer/reminder: English is not my native language. : P Also, a way to quickly link to DDG searches would nice. Instead of having to "find DDG/open new tab/etc", then searching and finally copying and pasting the link. I think it should be possible to (optionally) attach ones settings. It would be useful, when comparing which search results people see, with different settings. : )

@whardo:

A so-called CAPTCHA is a little "puzzle" or "task" people has to solve, before they are allowed to do things on some websites, like signing up.

Often these puzzle requires the user to do a task, that is not easy, or maybe even impossible, for some people. For example people with poor sight and blind people.

The above post was meant as a suggestion, for the DuckDuckGo team, on how they can make their website, more accessible / "better" to blind people.

It is not something you, as a general user of DuckDuckGo, should to be worried about. : ) It does not affect your use of DuckDuckGo. : )
It was just a technical tip for the site admin on DDG.

I hope this makes sense. Sorry, for the confusion! : )

Just a quick thought. Should there be an actual Terms of Service, and not only a Privacy Policy? : )

Also, on the Sign up-page it seems the link to the ToS, is linking to the DDG privacy policy. Is that how it's supposed to be? : )
