But if you want users to use it then you should make it as convenient as normal search. The biggest draws of DDG, is the privacy, is the instant answers, and the power of the bangs. If you remove the last two options, if you remove those that conveniences entirely from blinders, then why would anyone want to use it heavily if at all? It isn't worthwhile for them.

To quote you guy's own zekiel from the Reddit community:
"We've got a tester for our own results but it's never gotten much attention :\ "

You guys want it to have more attention, thus giving you that very vital feedback? Make it convenient and worthwhile for users to do so, or else your robbing yourself of that feedback.

The nice things about it:

1. I feel like I'm actively help improving the quality of DDG via the direct feed back design of blinders
2. I get to see more options per page, which can be really nice if both listing have different results
3. My privacy is still respected

The aggravating or broke things about it:

1. Some bangs do not work (Most notably Google bangs)
2. There are no instant answers (which really sucks as that is one of the big draws of DDG)
3. The "There are no results, try Google / Bing / More" links do not always work (Google never works, just clears the list, Bing usually works)
4. The returned results don't actually fit the page, so if I scroll down to make them fit the three buttons scroll up and over the top bar/duck bar.

I'm still going to use the blinders but overall it doesn't feel as useful or polished as a normal DDG search. Especially since there are no instant answers.
