What's the status on this?
a comment on the Instant Answer Idea GitHub user name search 2 years and 7 months ago
My suggestion would be to still keep "github" as the trigger word, but to append "@" in front of the query for usernames.

ie. "github @tj" will return https://github.com/tj

Doubt we can find an alternative. Most of the Bower Search Apps link back to the endpoint.

The data should actually be much less when filtered through the search words, I suppose. Searching for a common term like "css" returns 1,902 out of 36,000+ packages.

You can try your hand creating it yourself. Check out DuckDuckHack documentation. It's quite straightforward.

Gabe Weinberg's recent appearance on CNBC really showed that people are increasingly concerned about what other search engines know about you.

In line with this, it'll be great if DDG started a blog that highlights articles or even their own commentary on internet privacy. This could persuade more users to more closely protect their privacy online.

a reply to a comment on the General Rambling Does DuckDuckGo have a stock symbol? 2 years and 8 months ago
Only public companies have ticker symbols (issued by the stock exchange). Since DDG is private and not listed on the exchange, it won't have a ticker symbol.

If it is not listed, it is rather difficult for the public to invest in it. Most investors in private companies are usually sophisticated / institutional investors.

Although if you are loaded with big bucks, I'm pretty sure the team wouldn't mind speaking to you about that =)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but FontSquirrel is only for free fonts?

I guess it'll be better to use a database for as wide a universe as possible so that any search will yield results (whether free or paid).

Also just realised that Fonts.com doesn't seem to have fixed-width fonts.

Good to have an API where we can find commonly-used fontfaces like Helvetica, Monaco etc.

Does YCharts provide charts through their API?

A 5D/1M/3M/YTD chart will be great and an intra-day chart will be awesome (although I suspect their intra-day data is probably delayed by 15min at least).
