Heartbleed patched on DuckDuckGo. Also, PFS was on the whole time - https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze..... We are in the process of revoking and reissuing certs in addition to some other precautions.

I've pushed a fix for this. It should be clear of the cache in a day or so. The site was getting caught in our content system that marked it as potentially unsafe and/or spammy. I've removed those checks when a user specifies intent like site search. Thanks for the report!

a reply to a comment on the General Rambling Bizarre DDG behaviour on Mac with Chrome 4 years and 2 months ago
Thanks for the report. This seems pretty odd! I've tried it on

Windows 8.1 with
Version 34.0.1809.0 dev-m
Version 34.0.1813.0 canary

and Mac OS X Mavericks with
Version 32.0.1700.102

I have yet to run into any issues. Could you try Chrome Canary and let me know how it goes?

I'm about to roll a fix out for this. As a few others have said it's odd the query managed to get an encoded \n into the query. It's actually having trouble in the JS and not on the backend. Thanks for writing us about it!

I thought that this was interesting because, while critical, it's about putting the right foot forward for consumers. The Dark Mail Alliance sounds good from a technological and platform point of view; but I think that the negative connotation is strong enough to deter the average user. I'm proud to work at DuckDuckGo because I think it's important to have private alternatives. It is good to see that e-mail is picking up because we are far too busy on search!

iOS 6 is required because we opted to use Apple's built in sharing facility which is only available in iOS 6+.
